Jointly responsible to appropriate Curriculum Supervisor Statement of Duties: Provides small group instruction.Participates in co-planning sessions.Works with other support specialists to collect and/or disseminate student assessment information.The Tutor is expected to diagnose student weaknesses and develop IEP Goals.Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Curriculum Supervisors, and directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee, and policies of the Haverhill School Committee. Qualifications: Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required.Knowledge of high school philosophy, organization, and curriculum.Understanding of the high school student and his/her early adolescent needs.Knowledge of recommended high school instructional practices.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
