It is the responsibility of a Special Events Supervisor to provide excellent service to all guests attending an event at Park Theater. The Special Events Supervisor will supervise operational polices and procedures during an event to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and safety.

Actively monitor staff and vendor interactions with guests at all events to ensure high levels of service.
Recommends appropriate performance reviews, counseling and disciplinary documentation as needed to ensure compliance with company/department policies.
Assist in pre-event briefings with event staff in accordance with direction and information from the Supervisor of Event Services or Event Manager.
Be aware and report any safety concerns that could contribute to guest inconvenience.
Ensure that all equipment is checked out appropriately, properly utilized by staff and checked back in.
Focus on the guest and strive to meet guest expectations.
Maintains a working relationship with all departments associated with the building
Maintains an awareness of crowd situations at all times.
Maintains familiarity with all areas of the Park Theater.
Observes, provides supervision, guidance and direction for staff.
Performs event related duties in accordance with operating policies and procedures.
Provide leadership and guidance to staff and vendors.
Train staff and vendors in MGM Resorts International specific service skills.
Perform other job related duties as requested.
Required:

At least 21 years of age.
At least 4 years of customer service experience, preferably in entertainment; or equivalent education and experience.
Experience taking direction and working in teams.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using the internet, MS Office, Word and Excel.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:

Previous experience working in an entertainment facility.
