It is the primary responsibility of the Casino Porter to provide an inviting property to our guests by maintaining our public areas. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Contribute to a positive, empowering work environment by setting the example and consistency of day to day work habits.
Properly vacuum carpet, upholstery, and clean glass windows and doors as directed in all areas of the property.
Cleans between slot machines, removes papers, glasses, debris, and discards all empty bottles.
Wipes down all slot machines, change booths and change banks in assigned areas.
Keeps assigned area clean of debris and trash removed.
Empties and cleans ashtrays/urns and trashcans.
Keeps all equipment properly maintained, clean, and free of marks.
Cleans all restrooms in assigned areas outlined in job procedures and as trained.
Dust mop and wet mop hard floors and vacuums walkway carpets.
Clean-ups bio-hazards according to proper procedures.
Responsibly use the accessibility of computers and telephones
Clean all removable marks, dirt and dust from baseboards in all areas of the property.
Sign for at the beginning of the shift and returns all keys at the end of the shift.
Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to Supervisor.
Performs all other job related duties as requested.
At least 6 months of experience in Environmental Services, public area or comparable positions.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
