Norwood Crossing is a nonprofit healthcare organization specializing in quality senior care. Our facility is located on the northwest side of Chicago in the quaint neighborhood of Norwood Park. Our organization is seeking full-time and part-time certified nursing assistants to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will pride themselves on displaying professionalism, providing top notch care, and having the enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Assists nursing leadership and employees with tasks and functions in compliance with Norwood Crossing policies, procedures, and applicable health care standards of IDPH.
Ability to make independent decisions and judgements while adhering to policies and procedures
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, regulatory agency personnel and the general public
Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and back evaluation
Engage in positive interactions with Residents, staff, visitors and family members
Develop and post monthly master work schedules.
Ensure all open slots are filled by posting a needs list and/or contacting employees for extra shifts.
Notify ADON/DON of staffing needs and solutions.
Post schedule at the front desk per IDPH rules and regulations.
Complete and distribute daily schedule to all floors.
Update time clock entries daily.
Ensure all employees are correctly and accurately entered into the scheduler.
Complete payroll reports to ensure correct and accurate information regarding number of hours, PTO requests, bonuses, differentials, mandatory in-services and meetings.
Provide the Director of Nursing with monthly tardy and absentee reports by the 10th of every month.
Ensure nursing employees have name tags.
Complete clerical duties as assigned such as face sheets, employee phone list, monthly C.N.A. books, filing signed physician telephone orders and physical therapy forms.
Follow up with employees on monthly training (Upstairs Solutions).
Ensure Human Resources are notified of any changes with employee’s shifts or resignation.
Other duties as assigned.
