Job Description

As the Reservations Host, you will assist venue employees and management staff at resort pools and other resort food and beverage outlets.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

Responsible for sales duties at various food and beverage outlets in the resort.
Accommodate day-of reservation requests and accurately deliver service to ensure exceptional guest experience.
Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information in reservation system.
Maintain full understanding of hotel current events, details of all food and beverage outlets, cross-venue sales opportunities and upselling guest experiences.
Perform guest service functions including, but not limited to, welcoming guests to food and beverage outlets, discussing available reservation opportunities and attending to guest requests.
Maintain thorough menu and product knowledge of various outlets.
Greet guests at food and beverage outlet entry points.
Assist guests with seating.
Ensure Food & Beverage outlets meet all federal, state, city, county, corporate, hotel, and departmental standards, requirements, policies, and regulations.
Possess a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages (as dictated by the Beverage Department).
Routinely inspect resort areas, identifying cleaning needs, potential safety hazards, problems and maintenance or repair needs, and notify the appropriate individual(s) for proper resolution.
Complete side work, including stocking product, and cleaning and organizing service areas.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

At least two years of administration, sales and hospitality experience.
Previous experience in high-volume service venue.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
Excellent customer service skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:

Previous experience working in large, luxury resort setting.
PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed in outdoor pool environment.
Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
Temperatures vary between 40 -120 degrees.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests.
Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
Bending and reaching.
Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong eye/hand coordination.
Use of standard office equipment.
Basic math.
Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 15 lbs.
The ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
