The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, Southern Area Operations Division, is currently seeking part-time year-round staff based out various community centers: Baden, Fort Washington Forest, Glassmanor, Hillcrest Heights, Indian Queen, Marlow Heights, Potomac Landing, S.A.A.R.C., South Tech, Stephen Decatur, Suitand, Temple Hills, Tucker Road, William Beanes.
Examples of Important Duties
Xtreme Teen Program Coordinators $13.00/hr-$17.00/hr
Xtreme Teen Program Staff work Friday and Saturday evenings with youth ages 10 to 17. Staff must develop, implement and be willing to participate in quality on and off-site program activities and community outreach events.
Must be 21 years of age with a demonstrated desire to actively support positive youth development.
Background in working with teens in recreational settings is a plus, but not a requirement.
Evidence of responsible management, supervision and administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This combination should demonstrate an applicant’s ability to direct and be responsible for a major program with minimal supervision.
College degree in appropriate field preferred but not essential.
These positions will not provide benefits.

Work hours are flexible and include days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills.
