Job Description:

To coordinate all aspects of wide format printing production for Document Solutions. This position balances customer service, design and production, project management, equipment and inventory management, and supervision and training of staff.

General Notes

Selection made by committee and hiring supervisor based on review of on-line applications and results of personal interviews. Hiring decision contingent upon applicant clearing security background check. Some evening, weekend, and holiday work required.

Responsibilities

Supervise two full-time employees/student workers. Plan and communicate production schedules, project requirements, project status with staff and customers.

Receive and prepare requests for digital print production and wide format services production. Provide excellent customer service with file preparation, cost estimates, production timeline, and troubleshooting.

Maintain inventory of wide format production supplies. Coordinates assets, materials, and other project needs with staff and outside vendors as needed. Assess and recommend pricing of materials and services.

Continue to develop line of wide format services, evaluate and recommend new equipment and assist with equipment installation planning, logistics and oversight.

Assists with marketing of wide format services. Interfaces with customers in showcases and meetings.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of print production management or similar operations experience in a wide format printing or sign shop environment. Excellent customer service. Ability to brief in and manage graphic design and wide format projects. Creative thinker and problem solver. Thorough understanding of wide format substrates, printing processes, materials, installation and fulfillment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Extreme attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects quickly and effectively. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of graphic design concepts and Adobe print design software. Perform related duties as required.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Supervisory experience. Experience planning and managing 3D builds involving various substrates, such as trade show booths or retail displays. Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud. Graphic design experience.

Salary Range

$36,700 + depending on qualifications
